How can you prevent fraud by suppliers on Alibaba?
By Yaurapulse
Having done business on Alibaba for ten years, I must warn you that there are suppliers on the platform with very poor integrity; their communication and service are excellent before the partnership begins.
However, when issues arise—such as substandard product quality or shipping problems—they start shirking responsibility. If you try to get a refund, they will use various tactics to prevent you from succeeding.
To avoid this kind of situation,
you must take the following precautions:
First, before officially partnering with a supplier, use a website dedicated to vetting Alibaba suppliers' credibility. Enter their company name to check their history for any past instances of dishonesty.
Second, if you remain concerned, the following strategy offers better protection: use only a high-quality credit card for payment and avoid all other methods. This ensures the bank will protect you should you need to file a refund claim.
Third, if a dispute arises and the supplier ignores your legitimate grievances, tell them: "I will publicize this entire incident across all my social media channels, explicitly naming your company so everyone knows what happened—and I will post extensively about it." Most unscrupulous suppliers dread this; once you say this, they will usually opt to negotiate or even issue a full refund.
